We would like to congratulate Dr. Ciaran Murphy-Royal, Associate Professor, Dépt. de Neurosciences, Université de Montréal, on the recent publication in the July 10, 2025 issue of Nature Communications. The article entitled A divergent astrocytic response to stress alters activity patterns via distinct mechanisms in male and female mice. This work funded in part by the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation causally implicate astrocytes in the regulation of orexin neuron firing, behavioural activity patterns, and reveal that astrocytes are primary drivers of stress-induced behavioural change.
